Thanks for stopping by my blog lately to contribute to my feeling that I'm not a total fucking idiot for supporting Hillary as well. :-)

No problem! I'm enjoying your posts about the primaries and I know how you feel. I've been getting into lots of heated discussions with my brother, who is an Obama supporter, and we almost always agree on everything. He views Hillary as dividing the party and pointless to stay in the race since the "math" has never been on her side. But I think it's not only historic, but great for Democracy (what's left of it) and great that po'dunk states like WV get to be part of the game. Plus Hillary can drink Obama under the table - which is very important. ;)
There are four states that are critical to winning an election. Ohio, Florida, Penn. and Michigan. I don't think anyone has won the presidency without winning at least three of those states. Although Hillary will have a hard time in them, I think she stands a slighter better chance than Obama. Obama will lose Florida guaranteed, probably win Michigan, and maybe Penn. He'll lose Ohio as well. I've read a lot of rumblings that Obama will pick up smaller states to make up for this difference, but we'll see I guess.
btw, I also think Hillary shows great fortitude by staying in the race. Maybe she wouldn't back down so easily (ala Gore, Kerry) when those goddamn election machines magically call it for McCain.
